INSET Days, Staff Meetings and Bespoke Training

  

Training can be tailored to schools' needs and budget requirements and can be for teachers, teaching assistants or other stakeholders. Please contact us to discuss effective training models for your situation and budget.

INSET Days and Staff Meetings can be followed up with a monitoring visit later in the year to measure impact. 

Action-Research Projects

Projects can be run for a group of schools; a cluster or an academy chain. They run across an academic year and are generally 5 half-day sessions. They have a clear focus and facilitate sustained change in the schools participating. Projects can be tailored to target the needs required but could include:


  • Accelerating writing progress in key stage two
  • Accelerating reading progress in key stage two
  • Developing greater depth writers 
  • Developing greater depth readers
  • Engaging boys in reading or writing
  • Improving spelling practices across the school
  • Developing middle leadership
  • Promoting reading for pleasure

Consultancy

Specific school guidance and support can be provided for a range of areas including:


  • Subject leadership support – action planning, monitoring and evaluating
  • Assessment of English in the interim year groups 
  • English subject review
  • Moderation session
  • Co-planning
  • Co-teaching
